Taking Great Pet Photos

10 Steps to a Great Pet Photo

"I can never get a good photo of my pet!" Is this something you have said? Spring is coming, and beautiful scenery is right around the corner. Prime pet photo opportunities! These hints will help you take your best-ever photos of your pet . . . pictures you will be proud to feature on your website, holiday cards, refrigerator, or even in a beautiful frame!

1. Make sure that your pet is comfortable, and in a familiar environment. Spend some time to make sure he or she is at ease. The best photos will be in your home, doing the very things you have come to adore him or her for! A stressed-out pet does not make for a good subject.

Veterinary Compounding

Veterinary Compounding is Like the Spoon Full of Sugar that Helps the Medicine Go Down

Long gone are the days of George Bailey helping Mr. Gower at his local pharmacy.  Back then, pharmacists compounded drugs by mixing various ingredients.  The practice has been replaced by mass-produced pharmaceuticals that are often limited in dosage increments and filler ingredients.  That poses a problem for pets and humans alike.  Trying to get a pill down the throat of a cat can be both challenging and dangerous for pet owners.  Not to mention, pets and humans are often more allergic to the filler ingredients in the pills, which prohibits them from taking certain medications.

There are a few who still do compounding. Read more about how they can be used to make administration easier and safer.
