Obituary For Brutus Loeffler

Brutus Loeffler left us January 19th, 2022. He was born January 3, 2007, and brought home to his loving parents in March of that year. Brutus was a very charismatic dog from the moment we laid eyes on him. As a wedding gift, we were given the option to pick out a dachshund. When we went to go pick out a puppy, we were looking at a girl who was the runt of the litter, she was very calm and laid back. While we held her, another dachshund jumped over all this brother and sisters to get our attention. If he could have spoken, “PICK ME!” would have flown out of his mouth. This began a bond that lasted 15 years. Brutus was very involved in every aspect of our life, and he loved it that way. Afraid of missing out on anything, he always had his nose in whatever we were doing. There are countless times where he got paint on his fur because he wanted to be involved in us remodeling our home and leaned on the wall while watching us paint intently. This also happened with food, sawdust, anything we were doing, he was invested. He loved tennis balls, toys, treats and had THE strongest nose. He would tear apart a toy or tennis ball to the point of exhaustion, when we felt he needed a rest we would put it up where he couldn’t see it. No matter how high we put it, and how distracted he was when we put it there, he always found it and would sit below wherever it was and cry. He loved to shove his tennis balls underneath everything and cry to get it back, it was his little game. Brutus lived a full life of love and affection which is ultimately what he wanted the most. He was blessed with good health and 15 years with is adoring family. Brutus is survived by his Dad and Mom, Steve and Beth Loeffler, His sister Taylor Loeffler (Jacob Boling), his partner in dog crime, Toby.
