Obituary For Carmela Bailey

On August 24, 2014 I walked through the Cherokee County Animal Shelter, there I met a little one that would change my life forever. I fell in love at first sight, those big beautiful eyes melted my heart. Carmela loved the outdoors, she would go out and enjoy the wind blowing through her hair. She loved car rides. We went on road trips, she would sit in my lap and look at the scenery, when she got sleepy she would lay in my lap and rest. Carmela made us laugh being silly. She was always right there with me no matter where I went. On March 4, 2021, I was holding my baby as she took her last breath with her eyes on me. I thank God for blessing me with such a sweet little girl, with a sweet spirit. She has taken her rest that she deserves.

    Carmela was a charm & I was her groomer at Petsmart she was afraid of the dryers so I dryers her at a distance & towel dryers the rest if that did'nt work mama had to come & get her she finished for that day I'm glad I was a part of her journey my prayers are with you during this difficult time Carmela mom.

    Carmela, we miss you! My furry sister that always kept us laughing and smiling. She brought a special piece to our family that was needed. I have so many memories of her. From the road trips to NC, babysitting while Mommy & Poppi was away, the looks she would give you when you was sitting in her favorite spot on the couch and when she was ready to eat, she will stand there looking at me like "are you going to take the cover off my food so I can eat?"and so many more. The kids and I miss you! So happy that we were able to create as many memories as possible. Will always cherish all the memories. We love you! Kisha, Anaiyah, Norris, & Jeremiah

    Carmela was as sweet as her name. I came to know this sweet little pup while working at Banfield. As life goes, things change and I changed veterinary positions. It was years later that she came back into my life and what a blessing she was. Thank you for allowing me to be apart of her journey. Rest easy, Carmela. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult journey.

    Carmela was a part of the family and never failed to makes us laugh. I am going to miss coming home to her bark & sniff whenever the door opened. Everyone that came over knew that certain spots in the house were reserved for Carmela and she would give you a certain look if you were in her way. She was truly special and I am going to miss her.

    Lil Sis I remember getting the call that we had a new addition to the family named Carmela. Little did we know that this little lady had a mind of her own. Carter and I will miss sharing pictures with you all . You can be sure that Prince Carter will always be waiting his latest picture of the week. Carmela my Lil Furry Neice brought laughter to our lives and will forever be in our hearts ♥️ 💕💕

    I have many memories of Carmela. Her name was a combination of mine and Pam's. She was my friend as long as Pam was away. But as soon as Pam got home she forgot all about me - lol. We took lots of walks together and I remember how she disliked cold weather and would run back home if we were taking a bathroom break. She also thought she wad in charge of the house, lying in the middle of the floor and barking at the mail carrier/drliver driver who dared to ring the doorbell. She is certainly missed.
