Obituaries

We found Chanel when she approached us outside our home. We assumed since she was so beautiful she was someone else’s cat… we assumed she would go back home and was just exploring. However, she stuck around. We began feeding her and loving her and after realizing she did not have a home, we decided she would be ours. She quickly became a loving companion and we fell in love with her quickly. We are not sure what her past consisted of, and she was already 5 when we found her… but we are thankful for 3.5 years of love with her in our home. She was the sweetest cat I have ever met. Never hurt anyone… never hissed or slapped. She loved chin and ear scratches. She loved any meat or seafood (shrimp and chicken wings were her favorite.) She truly was such a special kitty and our hearts are broken. Her death has left us with an empty void and a feeling of loneliness. She always knew when something was wrong and would approach you which a high pitched meow and would rub on you. She was a lap cat and loved affection. I’m not sure if she would ever be forgotten or replaced. Such a special character with so many quirks and a huge personality. She was more than just a cat to us and she will be greatly missed.
