Obituary For Duke “Moose” Poe

Duke was always at the center of wherever we were, on watch, and ever-ready for 2x daily neighborhood patrol walks. Huskies, hawks, and cats were not to be trusted! He was a calming presence and an astute observer of all of our mental and physical conditions, he would make rounds to check on all of us (his flock). He would, however, come off-duty for occasional silliness and belly rubs. This giant void in our home and hearts is evidence of a life well-lived and a job well done. Rest easy big guy, we will never, ever forget you!

You don't know me but I do subscribe to the obituaries here to see the stories people share about their pets who have crossed over Rainbow Bridge (https://www.rainbowsbridge.com/Poem.htm). So sorry for your loss of Duke. Thank you so much for sharing some of his story. He obviously meant a lot to you and your family! And what a handsome boy 😊. Our pets bring so much unconditional love and joy to our lives. They truly are family members who we create and share memories with. Keep those with you and he will live on in your heart forever. RIP Duke.
