Obituary For Grace Cole
Our Gracie was a sweet old girl and we lost her suddenly. She was old but in overall good health, considering her age. She was in her usual state of health until she had several episodes of nausea, disorientation, and lethargy on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021. The vet diagnosed a bleeding tumor on her spleen on Friday morning. We took her home and she declined over Friday and Saturday. Refused to eat, couldn't stand and would yelp if we tried to move her. We made the impossible decision to end her suffering on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021. We were there at the end to shower her with love and kisses as she crossed that Rainbow Bridge.
How do you express in a few words what this baby meant to us? Our Gracie was the sweetest puppy and we were so blessed to have her in our lives. Some of the things our little angel loved were taking long walks with her friend, cuddling on the bed, spending days together, chicken, and sweet potato fries. Our sweet Gracie Bear was always there to greet us with BIG hugs and kisses. A true best friend in this world that will never be forgotten. She was smart but stubborn. In her advanced age, it was a struggle sometimes for her to jump on the couch, so we got her some stairs to assist her. She refused to use them, no matter how much we coaxed, begged and tempted with treats. She wasn't about to give in to her age.
We loved her with all our hearts and will miss her dearly.
