Obituary For Holly Welch
Remembering my beautiful, dearly loved little daughter.
At 16+ years of age, Holly led a remarkable and Wonderful Life. She enjoyed a happy, full, active and adventurous lifestyle. Holly had the very best of everything on every possible level.
Holly was an integral part in the creation of Atlanta GirlZ Club® our influential pet brand with a longtime mission of Fashion, Fun & Fundraising to help animals in need. For well over a decade, fashionista Holly modeled elite pet couture on fashion runways as well as making special appearances at galas, parades and social events. Holly and Atlanta GirlZ Club® use their celebrity to shine a light on animal welfare, animal rescues and fundraising efforts.
Miraculously, Holly survived and beat myelofibrosis (bone marrow disease) and autoimmune anemia in 2010. In recent years, she successfully underwent numerous surgeries, including spinal surgery, TPLO surgery and total knee replacement surgery.
Holly was an especially sweet-tempered, affectionate, super smart and polite little lady. She was also a charity icon with a significant presence in fashion and fundraising circles. She had a philanthropic heart and loved to help cohost and emcee events. She was loved and adored. Holly was also a brand ambassador and a perfect product spokesdoggie for senior pet health, aging well and healthy lifestyles for pets.
Working girl Holly assisted her writer and pro pet blogger Mommy with Atlanta GirlZ Club’s popular “PaWty Animals” column for Atlanta Pet Life magazine, featuring Holly and her spunky fur sister angel Lucy as they gallivanted about covering all the scoop on the pet social scene and rescue fundraising events, as well as our national blog for Vital Essentials® where the two were always front and center. Holly has been featured on CNN, appeared on The Weather Channel with Jim Cantore and in YouTube videos and two books, as well as numerous magazine covers.
The best thing Holly did was being my fur daughter, my Soul Doggie. She happily welcomed and adored her spirited new fur sister, LuLu Lollipop, to our family in 2022. Holly also loved her Auntie Sherry Smith.
Holly loved the beach, the mountains, her family — and Vegas SuperZoo! She loved taking long walks, meeting new people and furfriends, enjoying new adventures and exploring the world around her. Holly’s legacy will live on in everything we do.
Rest in Heavenly Peace, my beautiful, beloved Holly. I will love you forever with all my heart.
