In Loving Memory of HonkE 🐹💔

HonkE (whose “official” name was Espeon—but no one ever called him that 😆) came into my life in such a funny, unexpected way. I first met him at the rescue I was volunteering for at the time. He had some kind of strange respiratory thing going on, and later I found out he had gotten worse and was even being considered for euthanasia. But our strong little fighter pulled through! 💪 He was supposed to be a sanctuary piggie at the rescue, but I asked if I could foster him—and, well… that foster quickly turned into an adoption. ❤️

During his time with me, HonkE met the love of his life, Eevee. She was the only pig he ever truly got along with, and the two of them were inseparable. When Eevee passed away earlier this year, I worried about him—but my brave boy surprised me. He started popcorning and zooming around like he was reclaiming his bachelor pad! 😂

Because of lung scarring from his early illness, HonkE had a signature “honking” sound that earned him his name. It was the sweetest, silliest little noise, and the house feels so quiet without it.

He was loved by so many of you, and it absolutely breaks my heart to share that my sweet HonkE boy has crossed the rainbow bridge. 💔 He was so special to me—as all my piggies are—and the piggie room just isn’t the same without his joyful honks.

Goodbye my little HonkE boy. Thank you for letting me be your pigmom, for trusting me, for letting me love and spoil you every single day. I hope you’re happy now that you’ve reunited with your beloved Eevee. Please tell all my other angels that I miss them too. 💕
