To my beautiful Hunnie,

My love, I cannot thank you enough for teaching me how to properly love you, and for the patience I learned along the way of getting to know you. I still look down waiting to see you to rubbing against my leg or jumping in my face to wake me up, and I still hear your purrs while I sleep— I pray these feeling never leave.

Looking back, I think you were the one watching over me—protecting me, like my own little guardian angel—That’s what makes this pain even worse, the feeling that I did not return the favor. But also looking back, I reflect on how full of a life you lived my love! From surviving being a malnourished stray, to successfully birthing two beautiful litters, to moving across the country, and to even becoming an indoor cat, lol.

Hunnie, you taught me so much in such little time… you taught me resilience, peace, the power of listening, and you especially taught me the power of silence. Through you I learned what it really means to protect one’s peace, and through you my love I learned how not to succumb to the challenges life throws. You showed me that even if we loose a battle, we don’t go down without a fight!

Thank you for choosing me my dear, because regardless of the pain— I would choose you and I would do it all over again, a million times over.
