Obituary For Iris Noor-Crocket

Iris was a wonderful companion. He was always loving, giving (of his furry fuzzy cuddles), and the sweetest best friend. It was just the 2 of us for the longest time, he was my first man, and when Papa and the Boys came, he welcomed them with open paws. He used to sleep on top of my head on my pillow, and does my hair too ensuring I always look my best. He brings gifts too, mostly dead birds, my sweet Iris.

In his 21 years of age, he was always handsome and stately. When he was younger and tolerates groomers, we get his haircut quarterly to a lion's cut. He loved it! Every time he comes back from the groomers, you can see him jumping around and strutting his lion's tail, showing off his mane, acting like a young kitten even when he was older. He was definitely an indoor cat, loving the luxuries of domestic life. He tried hanging out outside for a few days a couple of times (worried the heck out of me), but he always came back, regretting his decision.

My Iris loved mangoes! Always knows when I'm peeling them and comes by to get his share. Strange that a cat loves fruits, but I think, it started when it was just the two of us, and he wanted to share what I love.

Iris brought so much joy to me, to us, and to everyone he meets. He will always live in my heart. I treasure our time together and miss you so much. I'm sad that you were in pain at the end, and glad you have peace now in Heaven. I hope to see you there someday. Rest in peace my sweet stately soul. I'm sure you're the best looking cat in heaven, and may you have all the sweetest mangoes to enjoy. I love you, and miss you.
