Obituary For Jack Cosper
Jack ‘JackJack’ Cosper made his journey across the rainbow bridge the early morning of Wednesday, March 23rd. He is survived by his forever family: Mike (Dad), Pam (Mom), Lexi and Brett (Sister and Brother-In-Law), Austin (Brother), and Vito (Fur Brother).
Rescued from the local animal shelter at only 8 weeks old, Jack’s start in life was a rough one. He and his other litter mates were abandoned on a roadside and picked up by animal control. On adoption by Lexi and Austin, Jack soon became ill with parvo. He fought through this deadly disease with the help and care of his family and went on to live a long and fulfilling life as the companion of Mike, who was his best friend.
Jack loved chasing tennis balls and would enjoy walking up to show you his favorite stuffed toy in his mouth. He didn’t want you to take it from him to play fetch—he just wanted you to admire it and play tug of war! One of his other favorite activities was joining his dad for a howl. His tail would go crazy and he would throw his head back and howl along with his human, doing his best impression of a fierce wolf. He was a handsome boy—one of his most distinguishing features besides his beautiful black and white coat was his split face. It was perfectly half black and half white, the white side distinctive with a tiny little black patch above his eye like an eyebrow. He was the most expressive dog his family has ever know and will ever know—he was his own person.
While his passing fills his family with so much heartache and sorrow, it is outweighed by the happy memories and this promise: all dogs go to heaven, and Jack will be the first they see bounding towards them when they finally join him in rest. Forever young, free of pain, and their perfect JackJack.
