Obituary For Joey Scarpinato

My Joey. You showed up in my life, at a time that I didn’t even know I needed you. But God knew I needed an angel, and so then there you were. People say I saved your life, but no one will ever truly understand how you really saved mine. Your life, before you came into mine, will always be a mystery. But our life together, made me whole and taught me the meaning of true love. I’ll miss your snuggles, your ears, your eyebrows and beard, and your big beautiful eyes. I’ll miss your snores. I’ll miss how you followed me around and always loved a good neck rub. I’ll miss how you epitomized the cliche of a dog chasing down the mailman, even when you could not see or hear so well. You were the perfect boy and mommy’s angel. You will ALWAYS be the most handsome. I will ALWAYS be your mommy. The most important thing I ever did with my life was to love you and care for you. Just the way you did for me. My heart is forever broken and will ache for the day we can see each other again. Mommy loves you more than anything.

Oh Joey you will be so missed! I remember the first time Christine brought you upstairs and she said "I swear he's good he won't go to the bathroom anywhere!" and you left me the smelliest dump on my living room rug. Lol. Wherever Christine was, you were. Two peas in pod you two were! Even though we will never really know how old you were, everyone knows (except Christine) that you were an old grandpa dog and we always had fun bickering how old or young you were. I say old and wise like your twin Splinter from the Ninja Turtles! Wise enough to be in the right place and right time to have Christine find you on that farm that day. A day that your life changed and Christine's life changed. You had the best life because of her and she realized small dogs are pretty awesome after all! We love you Joey and will miss you!
