Lily, a gentle Papillon–Chihuahua mix with a brave bark and a tender heart, passed away after a life filled with love, comfort, and devotion. She was a cherished rescue dog who found her forever home with our late mother, Diann C. Smith, and the two shared an unbreakable bond built on trust and companionship.

Timid by nature but fiercely loyal, Lily was small in stature yet full of personality. Though her bark could surprise anyone who didn’t know her, those close to her understood it was simply her big spirit trying to be seen. She brought warmth, routine, and quiet joy into our mother’s life—offering comfort during difficult times and celebrating the peaceful moments alongside her.

Lily’s gentle presence, expressive eyes, and cautious but loving demeanor will be deeply missed. She reminded us all that healing can come in small packages, and that rescue pets often rescue us in return.

She now rests peacefully, reunited with Diann, where her timid heart can be at ease and her brave little bark can echo with joy.
