Obituary For Lola Chastain

Lola was more than a pet; she was a part of our family. My dad and brother went to get her, and my brother wanted the boy that was quiet and loving, but my dad wanted the girl that hadn't stopped barking since they walked up. We got the girl and named her Lola from a song that goes "her name was Lola; she was a show girl". She loved to bark, and it wasn't a typical bark, it was unique to just her. It was more of a howl that you could hear from miles away. We won't ever forget the way she sounded. She was so bright and full of energy! We would go on walks, and she would catch a scent and her tail would shoot straight up, she'd start barking and she was locked in. Her favorite food was whatever we ate for dinner, and she didn't mind asking for seconds. I could go on and on about our girl. The way her fur faded into 3 different colors, or her eyes that looked like she was always wearing eye liner and were so big and brown, and I can't forget her ears that felt like velvet and were bigger than her since she was born. Losing you was hard, but we know you will be waiting for us at the rainbow bridge. We love you baby girl, rest easy.
