Lola was born in Seoul, Korea. When she was only four weeks old, she was sent to Mississippi. Upon her arrival her human, Dr. D.L. Teamor, flew in to take her to her new home in Michigan. On the flight home, the pilot announced that there was a special passenger on board -- Lola! He explained that she was to be trained as a medical alert service animal, and that she would also be trained as a therapy dog for our United States Military Veterans. Lola went on to do all these things, and served faithfully for the next 10 years. She traveled all over the country, walked the halls of our US Congress and other governmental facilities, visited the finest restaurants, hotels, and theaters, and garnered smiles and warm sentiments wherever she went.

In December, 2021, little Lola was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus. She lost her sight over the course of only 72 hours, and just a month later, she suffered a seizure and passed away at home in the arms of Dr. T.

She was truly a wonder dog!
