Obituary For Lucy Siano-Miller
When we brought Lucy home eight years ago from the shelter, we had no idea the amount of joy she would bring to us. Being Lucy’s dad was the greatest honor. When we were home, Lucy would never leave my side, like a furry shadow. If I went to the kitchen, so did Lucy. If I were watching TV, Lucy would watch right beside me. And, every night, when it was time to go to bed, on cue, she’d jump into bed too.
Some of the things we loved most about Lucy: - Her favorite toy was a green frog that she’d proudly march around with in her mouth. - When friends were over, Lucy loved being in the middle of the action, sitting on the lap of anybody that would have her - When it was time for wet treats, Lucy patiently let her big sister get her fill before sticking her own head into the bowl - Lucy’s favorite game was going to the next room over and meowing for you to come find her - Sometimes it even sounded like she was saying, “Hello?” - When Lucy would drink water, she would stand with one paw in the water bowl - I must have told Lucy 1000 times that she was the noisiest self-groomer I’ve ever met
Lucy left us suddenly but peacefully. Lucy was only eight years old when she left us; what I would give for eight more years with her. I know I’ll meet many more cats in my lifetime but none will be quite like Lucy or as noisy when they groom.
