Obituaries

Mookie (or many may know him as doodles, boodles, sug, Mookie bubbles, stinky butt, wiggle butt…. just to name a few) was the center of my world! He was the air that filled my lungs and the blood that coursed through my veins. Mookie had many talents including, but not limited to, feet licking, fart bombing, squirrel chasing, and snoring, and believe me, he excelled at all of them. And oh boy he loved car rides, hiking, and shower time.

Mooke; however, had champagne taste and a beer pocketbook…at least when it came to his food. He didn’t care much for toys, but he would never turn down a raw hide. But the greatest gift he gave…. was love! Mookie was a fighter and such a lover! He fought till the very end, giving everything he could.

Mookie showed me that love is possible. When I was at the darkest moments in my life, and of course through all the good times, he was there by my side. All I needed was to look at him and I knew everything would be ok. My best friend is gone and so is a huge piece of my heart!

I never thought he would die. I thought he was invincible, that pet losses only happened to everyone else but not me…. until it did. I can’t explain the emptiness I feel; however, I would have rather loved him and lost him than to never have loved him at all.

You will always be my strength, Mookie! Thank you, sweet boy. Until we meet again! RIP my beautiful boy! Now go spread your wings and chase squirrels.
