a cat in a box seems unlikely not at all what one would expect but such is the fate of some -

a box of ashes to sit on a shelf a shrine for a feline - monument to a small mammal that shared our existence

i've shown it to Bob, the black cat she used to fight with - he sniffed it once, and was otherwise indifferent...

but welcome home – cat in a box your presence here is fitting it's where you belong

we'll see you sometimes and remember when you were flesh and bones and full of fire
