Over twelve years ago, I walked into a animal care center to adopt a Yorkie, but someone just adopted him/her as I arrived. The vet tech could see the hurt and disappointment as I left, so she followed me to my car to ask if she can show me another dog that she think would be the perfect fit for me. She sure wasn't wrong! As soon as I opened the car door to take you home, you jumped in the car and sat on the center console. Ever since that day, you continued to mark an impression on family, friends, and myself. Everyone knew Penny, the singing dog who loved car rides, only drank bottled water and was her Granddaddy's shadow. Despite your declining health the last few months, you still warm our hearts. We will forever be grateful to have you in our lives and you will always be remembered. We love you and miss you dearly.
