Obituary For Pickles Horowitz
Pickles (aka beans, bean boy, chonky baby, baby bean, pick man, fatty baby) was the sweetest love of my life. He helped me get through some of the worst days of my life. These last few years have come with hardship, pain, and immense loss. He was there being a warm snuggle bear through every moment of it. I am thankful to have had the opportunity to love him in the fierce way I did. And I am even more thankful I can reflect on the wonderful lessons he taught me. He had boundaries that he made clear and some may have said that made him reactive but I saw it as strength and consistency. He cared about what he ate and some may have called that snotty but I saw it as a powerful way to never settle for things that aren’t making one feel well. He had tons of toys he barely used which some might say made him spoiled but I believed his love for human affection and closeness was far more important than any toy. He taught me that life can be short and we never know how things will play out. So I am choosing to go forward each day in his memory jumping into my days with the playfulness, love, and warmth he showed me. I choose to honor him by being the best version of myself he would want me to be. Thank you my sweet chonky love. From the bottom of my heart, loving you was the greatest privilege to have.
