Plex was so loving. So calm. So friendly.
The sweetest big baby.
The best human- in dog form.
He was our first baby.
He's been here through it all with Chris and I.
When we were just teenagers, navigating through adulthood- he's been with us.
Raising children, he's been with us.
Our very first baby, loving so gently on our babies. ♡
During these last few days of his life, what was truly heartbreaking was the inability to explain to him how much he truly meant to us and know that he understood. Although we tried.
This was important to all of us.
We just needed him to know that he wasn't just a dog to us. He's our family.
I hope he knew how special he was to us and how much we truly loved him.
Loss is intensely physical. Memories and stories are comfort, but it’s the weight of the warm body that will be forever missed. The bark. The snuggles. The awkward wet face licks. So many things. Everything. Absolutely everything.
He's given our family so many precious memories over the last 15 years.
To know him, was to love him.
And if love had the power to save him, he would have lived forever.

You brought immeasurable happiness into our lives that will never be forgotten. You will live in our hearts and memories forever our big blue baby.
