Obituary For Roman Donnell

Roman was a pure bred German Rottweiller.
I brought him home at 10 weeks old. He rode in delivery work truck for his first year and half of life, until he was too big! He grew to 125 lbs.
He also helped me grieve my first wife’s death. I had him a little over a year before my wife of 34 plus years died suddenly. He was the best listener. Though very stubborn, but somewhat obedient. I was definitely his person. I think i spent less than a month away from him over the years because of vacations or what not. I will miss him greatly!!! I loved him so much, and no dog could ever replace him. He loved the outdoors, and the a/c inside the house! His favorite thing to do was to chase a ball that i would throw for him. He did not understand the concept though, for i would throw the ball, he would retrieve it, but he would not give it back to me to throw again. In 8 years, he never got it!! I would have to wrestle the ball away from him every single time. I’m gonna miss you buddy!

Hi there. You don't know me but I do subscribe to the obituaries here to see the stories people share about their pets who have crossed over Rainbow Bridge (https://www.rainbowsbridge.com/Poem.htm). So sorry for your loss of Roman. Thank you so much for sharing some of his story. I can see he meant the world to you and had a tremendous impact on your life. And what a handsome boy 😊. Our pets bring so much unconditional love and joy to our lives. They truly are family members who we create and share memories with. Keep those with you and he will live on in your heart forever. RIP Roman.
