Obituary For Sir Tiny “Pups” “Bubuh” “Bubbles” Thomas
Tiny “Pups” “Buh-buh” “Bubbles” Thomas
Tiny was a happy loving energetic dog that loved being with his human parents on their life journey together. Tiny was adopted during one of his parents road trips for a dear family members funeral in Ohio.
Nick named the “little dog,” by his grandpa, he once traveled over 500 miles from Delaware to Ohio to be at his gramps side during a long illness.
At only 4lbs he commanded and brightened every room he entered. He was a momma’s boy who stayed by her side so much that once he even rubbed the “Nair,” hair remover off of her legs. He was unbothered with no worries as long as he could be close to mom. Of course he sported a mohawk cut while his hair regrew.
Although he was unemployed and without health insurance, or penny, he had plenty of pockets and unapologetically ran up several bills and credit cards shopping or getting emergency care and surgeries.
Not for facelifts nose jobs or tummy tucks, or sneakers, but for his outfits and must haves which consisted of countless BOW TIES, car seats, collars, leashes, bling necklaces, tracking collars, clothing, swimming vests, baseball caps, scarfs, dog beds, and car seats.
The surgeries were from the precarious situations he managed to get his little self into that kept a heavy dent in the family savings account.
For example after only two-weeks with his human parents he ran under foot of his dad and broke his leg. The look on their eyes when his veterinarian explained the “tiny” little rods needed to fix the break not to mention the bill $$$$. Instead of water physical therapy rehab, mom decided daily therapy at home in the bath tub would suffice so they could continue to bond. All was well until the water bill came in $$$.
Then there was the time he snatched a turkey bone that became lodged in his esophagus, after an emergency vet visit and x-rays plus a visit to a specialist across town that included an overnight stay he was all better $$$$.
Tiny’s broken leg did earn him an unpaid position as the unofficial Civil Engineer Squadron Mascot, at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, as he had to go to mom’s job daily during recovery.
Even in a cast mom couldn’t keep him from using his charm to sneak out of the office for belly rubs and treats.
Tiny had a long, exciting and pampered life, he never wanted for anything his parents couldn’t imagine.
At 16 years his parents would have given any amount to keep his priceless light in their world. But after a year of deterioration he left this earth due to natural causes. Tiny is now with his sister Toffie Thomas who passed last year at 15 years of age.
…
His spot can never be filled as we mourn the loss of our first child, Tiny. He sealed our bond together.
We consider ourselves lucky and extremely blessed that he shared this life with us. His little paw prints are on our hearts forever.
Terrie and Tony Thomas
