Smokey was born on April 16, 2007 and 3 weeks later he came home with me. Smokey was one of a liter of 3 and the only male. His mother was a Golden Lab. A co-worker brought the 3 new pups to the office and allowed the pups to choose their owner. The two females didn't come my way but Smokey, Smokey kept walking over to me. I really didn't want a dog but he kept coming in front of me and when I looked into his eyes I knew that I had to take him home.

Smokey came into my life at a time that I needed someone to care and love and in return he showed me care and love that only could come from God's creation in a dog. Smokey I will remember you always and I am so grateful for the 14 years and 8 months that God allowed you to stay with me. You were a strong dog who began to endure so many health challenges but you kept trying to play and care for me. Smokey you will forever be in my heart. I will miss you but I know you are no longer in pain and your purpose was complete. Thank you Smokey for loving me. I love you, Smokey.
