Bear Bear peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge Sunday evening with his mom and dad by his side.

He is survived by his mom, (Alison), dad, (Mike), brother, (Joshua), brother, (Louie), grandma, (Mimi), and many loving friends, neighbors, and extended family.

Adopted from Rochester, New York, in early 2007, he was estimated to be about nine months old. He migrated down to South Carolina years later from his grandma's in New York. Bear Bear loved the warmer weather; it helped with his debilitating arthritis.

Bear Bear's favorite activities included lying in the grass on a nice day, playing with his best friend, Myrtle the teacup Shih Tzu, receiving as much love as possible, but his most favorite was asking for treats. Busy Bones and kabobs were always his number one choice, and he always took treats as gently as he could. Up until the day he died, he had never snapped for his cookies or anything.

There will always be a Bear Bear-shaped hole in our hearts. Our only solace is knowing he is finally pain-free and in a better place.
