Obituary For Bella Whitmore

Bella came into this world on October 12, 2011, and filled our lives with love until her passing on July 29, 2024. She is preceded in death by her beloved big brother, Cooper, and is survived by her devoted mama, her brother T’Challa, uncle Luke, grandmother Donna, and great-aunt Carol.

Bella was a force of nature, a spunky and feisty spirit who knew exactly what she wanted and wasn't shy about making it known. Her independence was one of her most endearing quirks—she’d dash away when someone tried to pick her up, only to bark insistently when she wanted to be lifted onto the bed. She had a unique way of being held; she never wanted to be cradled like a typical dog but instead preferred to be held on her back like a baby, her tongue lolling out in pure bliss.

Bella had a tender side, especially with the foster babies who came into our home. She would snuggle up beside them, serving as their gentle protector. Though she struggled with car anxiety, barking, and whining on every trip, she was always eager for a pup cup at the drive-through. Her love for food was legendary—she was a chunky little lady who would often sneak Cooper’s meals when he wasn’t looking.

Despite facing numerous health challenges throughout her life, Bella remained a positive, loving presence in our home. Her resilience and spirit touched everyone who knew her, and her absence leaves a hole in our hearts that will never be filled.

Rest in peace, sweet Bella. May you find comfort in Cooper's embrace, forever cuddling in the fields of heaven.
