Obituary For Cami Muscato

When I got the call in 2020 asking if I could take in a senior chihuahua that had been living outside and was very small I didn't hesitate to say yes. I take in
senior small dogs who need a safe and loving home; I picked Cami up, she was filthy and smelled bad, we went right to the vet to get her checked out and they bathed her; She was found to have a heart murmur and started on meds When I brought her home we went outside and all the other dogs came out to meet her, it was July and hot so we went right back in; I noticed Cami just standing there, I went and picked her up and told her, sweet baby you do not live outside any more. We sat together and she fell asleep and from that day on we were best friends. She was so very sweet and at 5.9lbs just a tiny, fragile girl; She developed pulmonary hypertension, mammary cancer, and very recently started having seizures and a brain tumor was suspected; More meds, more snuggles and she was doing ok but I could see the decline and it broke my heart; On her last day she was having difficulty breathing and even oxygen wouldn't help. I had to let her go. 16 years and 2 mo exactly .... I haven't stopped crying at the thought and pictures of her. It hurts. I loved her so much and always will. Her two best friends Ava and Chucky miss her dearly. I pray that one day I will see you again. Forever my Cami.

Candles & Memories

Hi there. You don't know me but I do subscribe to the obituaries here to see the stories people share about their pets who have crossed over Rainbow Bridge (https://www.rainbowsbridge.com/Poem.htm). So sorry for your loss of Cami. Thank you so much for sharing some of her story. And thank you so very much for rescuing her and giving her best "golden" life! I can see she meant the world to you and had a tremendous impact on your life. And what an awesome little face 😊. Our pets bring so much unconditional love and joy to our lives. They truly are family members who we create and share memories with. Keep those with you and she will live on in your heart forever. RIP Cami.
