Obituary For Isabella "Izzy" May

Life's trials and tribulations travel in groups of three. While each one hurt, nothing in this life could have prepared me for making one of the hardest phone calls I had to make on Monday morning.

Izzy was one of my best friends, my companion, and my traveling sidekick. She helped me crochet many blankets and helped me sleep every chance she got. She was loved by all who met her. Her eighteen years in life should be a testament to how much she was loved and how Izzy loved with all of her little heart.

Izzy was 18 years and 9 months old and weighed a mere 3.88 lbs. when she peacefully crossed over the rainbow bridge at 4:10 pm on March 18, 2024. I held her as I felt her slip from mortality into immortality, and as she did, I cried into her ear, telling her how much I love her and asked her to wait for me at the Rainbow Bridge.

It's not a Goodbye; it's I'll see you soon, baby girl. Mommy and Daddy Paul, Meagan and Alex, Laura and Jason and Jacob, and Daddy Jack and Lisa, and countless friends of yours love you with all of our hearts…

Hi...you don't know me but I do subscribe to the obituaries here to see the stories people share about their pets who have crossed over Rainbow Bridge (https://www.rainbowsbridge.com/Poem.htm). So sorry for your loss of Izzy. She obviously meant the world to you and had a tremendous impact on your family. And what a cutie pie! 😊. Our pets bring so much unconditional love and joy to our lives. They truly are family members who we create and share memories with. Keep those with you and she will live on in your heart forever. RIP Izzy.
