Obituary For Sushi J

Born on January 17th 2011, Sushi was a 13 year old White Bichon Frise and Shih Tzu Mix who passed away at home with his family on February 25th, 2024. He had glaucoma and congestive heart failure from degenerative mitral valve disease.

Recently, I came across a quote that likened a loved one to a supernova— an incredibly beautiful and rare astrological event that graces the sky for only a fleeting moment. As soon as I heard this quote, I immediately thought of Sushi. Sushi was our supernova.

To those who truly knew him, Sushi exceeded canine companionship. With his heart shaped birthmark on the center of his nose, Sushi truly spread love every place he went. He was the embodiment of joy, treasuring his family and being a companion above all else. Even when Sushi exited the vet after having a surgery, his tail still groggily wagged when he saw his people.

Sushi, you are a true soulmate and best friend. You will always be a twinkling star in our eyes.
Love you and miss you always.

    Hi...you don't know me but I do subscribe to the obituaries here to see the stories people share about their pets who have crossed over Rainbow Bridge (https://www.rainbowsbridge.com/Poem.htm). So sorry for your loss of Sushi. I can see he meant the world to you and had a tremendous impact on your family. And what a handsome little boy he was! 😊. Our pets bring so much unconditional love and joy to our lives. They truly are family members who we create and share memories with. Keep those with you and he will live on in your heart forever. RIP Sushi.
